The work Artist'S Country by Wimmitji Tjapangarti was sold in the Aboriginal Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in July 2009. It achieved a price of AUD 30,000.00 (€ 16,984.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wimmitji Tjapangarti; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled, 1991 sold at auction in November 2020 with the realized price of AUD 24,600.00 (€ 20,589.22).
