Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wim Motz could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, this work without title changed hands for EUR 1,500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wim Motz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2004 with an auction result of EUR 7,767.50.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wim Motz konnte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 1.500,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Motz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.767,50.
