This artwork by Wim Delvoye achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November last year. In the Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The Amsterdam No Reserve Edit auction, the work without title sold for EUR 2,520.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wim Delvoye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flatbed Trailer Scale Model And Caterpillar 5C Scale Model in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 265,313.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wim Delvoye erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Le Jeune, A Collecting Legacy: The Amsterdam No Reserve Edit wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 2.520,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wim Delvoye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flatbed Trailer Scale Model And Caterpillar 5C Scale Model im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 265.313,28).
