A top price for Wim Botha - as previously expected
The work South Africanmnemonic Reconstruction (From Memory) by Wim Botha was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,078.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, South Africanmnemonic Reconstruction (From Memory) is the most expensive artwork by Wim Botha that we have observed at auctions so far.
