Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black woman at the birdsmarket by Wim Bosma was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003. The price achieved of EUR 1,075.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wim Bosma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ships In A Harbour in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 47,100.00.

Die Arbeit Black woman at the birdsmarket von Wim Bosma wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.075,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wim Bosma erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ships In A Harbour im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.100,00.
