In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Cradle Land Of The Anasazi by Wilson Hurley. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,892.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson Hurley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Ventana, New Mexico, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 87,575.00 (€ 78,184.98).

Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cradle Land Of The Anasazi von Wilson Hurley zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 38.892,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilson Hurley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Ventana, New Mexico beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 87.575,00 (€ 78.184,98) versteigert wurde.
