A top price for Willy Pogany - as previously expected
The work Two Costume Designs for Le Coq d’Or; One for Hamlet; One for Ophelia by Willy Pogany was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,348.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two Costume Designs for Le Coq d’Or; One for Hamlet; One for Ophelia is the most expensive artwork by Willy Pogany that we have observed at auctions so far.
