In January 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work On the Exe at Topsham by William Williams of Plymouth. The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 562.83) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Williams of Plymouth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lock At Newton Marshes in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,149.72).

Im Januar 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Exe at Topsham von William Williams of Plymouth zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 562,83) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Williams of Plymouth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lock At Newton Marshes im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.149,72).
