Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Wanted: A Young Man by Herbert William Weekes for GBP 437.50 (€ 524.48). This price was achieved in the auction Stephane Boudin at 5 Belgrave Square, Les Objets de l'Empire & Mount Kennedy, Ireland. Three Private Collections at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert William Weekes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Of His Flock in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 98,272.38).
