A top price for Herbert William Weekes - as previously expected
In August 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish & Sporting Pictures, which included the work Two Of His Flock by Herbert William Weekes. It changed hands for a price of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 98,272.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Two Of His Flock is the most expensive artwork by Herbert William Weekes that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish & Sporting Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Of His Flock von Herbert William Weekes zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 98.272,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Two Of His Flock das teuerste Kunstwerk von Herbert William Weekes, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
