Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Rustic Music by William Underhill. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,220.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Underhill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Day'S Bag, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 6,480.00 (€ 9,624.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rustic Music von William Underhill zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.220,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Underhill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Day'S Bag beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 6.480,00 (€ 9.624,30) versteigert wurde.
