Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sculpture by William Turnbull was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 119,780.00 (€ 139,403.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Turnbull have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus Totem in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 701,000.00 (€ 988,401.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sculpture von William Turnbull kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 119.780,00 (€ 139.403,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Turnbull auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus Totem im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 701.000,00 (€ 988.401,20).
