Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Key Torso by William Turnbull was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 69,000.00 (€ 81,012.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Turnbull achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lotus Totem in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 701,000.00 (€ 988,401.20).

Die Arbeit Key Torso von William Turnbull wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 69.000,00 (€ 81.012,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Turnbull erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lotus Totem im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 701.000,00 (€ 988.401,20).
