Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 20-1958 by William Turnbull was sold in the Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale auction at Christies in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 192,518.61). Admittedly, works by William Turnbull have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus Totem in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 701,000.00 (€ 988,401.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 20-1958 von William Turnbull wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish ArtEvening Sale bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 192.518,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Turnbull auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus Totem im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 701.000,00 (€ 988.401,20).
