Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Christies in London held the auction Important Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Straw Hat by William Strang. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,425.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by William Strang have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2016 the work Girl reading. The Storyteller was auctioned for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,997.77).

Im Juli 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Straw Hat von William Strang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.425,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von William Strang konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2016 die Arbeit Girl reading. The Storyteller für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.997,77) versteigert.
