Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Fairy Tale by William Sergeant Kendall was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2010. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,393.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Sergeant Kendall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gloria in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 40,779.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Fairy Tale von William Sergeant Kendall wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.393,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Sergeant Kendall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gloria im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 40.779,53).
