Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by William Scharff was sold in the Modern art and design auction at Bruun Rasmussen in August this year. The price achieved of DKK 3,400.00 (€ 456.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Scharff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Hønsebillede” (Chicken Painting), 1917 in June this year with an auction result of DKK 1,600,000.00 (€ 214,798.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Scharff wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von DKK 3.400,00 (€ 456,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Scharff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Hønsebillede” (Chicken Painting), 1917 im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 1.600.000,00 (€ 214.798,53).
