Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by William Scharff was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 10,500.00 (€ 1,410.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Scharff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Hønsebillede” (Chicken Painting), 1917 in June this year with an auction result of DKK 1,600,000.00 (€ 214,798.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von William Scharff kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 10.500,00 (€ 1.410,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Scharff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Hønsebillede” (Chicken Painting), 1917 im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 1.600.000,00 (€ 214.798,53).
