Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,173.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Salter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Waterloo Banquet, 1836 in October 2005 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,466.01).
