Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Navajo Judge, Kayenta, Arizona by William Robinson Leigh was sold in the Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,300.00 (€ 12,966.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Robinson Leigh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Narrowing Circle in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 727,500.00 (€ 687,748.16).

Die Arbeit A Navajo Judge, Kayenta, Arizona von William Robinson Leigh wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 12.966,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
