A top price for William Patten - as previously expected
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Portrait of a girl, probably a member of the Wynne family of Peniarth, in a yellow and white dress, half-length, with a green sash, holding a basket of flowers, a landscape beyond by William Patten. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,828.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of a girl, probably a member of the Wynne family of Peniarth, in a yellow and white dress, half-length, with a green sash, holding a basket of flowers, a landscape beyond is the most expensive artwork by William Patten that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a girl, probably a member of the Wynne family of Peniarth, in a yellow and white dress, half-length, with a green sash, holding a basket of flowers, a landscape beyond von William Patten zur Versteigerung kam. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Portrait of a girl, probably a member of the Wynne family of Peniarth, in a yellow and white dress, half-length, with a green sash, holding a basket of flowers, a landscape beyond das teuerste Kunstwerk von William Patten, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
