The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,466.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by William Patten have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2011 the work Portrait of a girl, probably a member of the Wynne family of Peniarth, in a yellow and white dress, half-length, with a green sash, holding a basket of flowers, a landscape beyond was auctioned for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,828.74).
