Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Parrot could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures auction, the work Houses of Parliament and Westminster Bridge from the South Bank of the River Thames changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,355.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Parrot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Fair In The Champs Elysee, Paris '(Grand Tintamarre) Voila, Voila, V'La, V'La Messieurs! Venez Voir, Venez Voir, Madlle. Rose, La Femme Colosse La Plus Êtonnante Du Monde Par La Suavité De Sa Voix, La Naiveté De Ses Traits, L'Epaisseur De Son in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 124,750.00 (€ 207,234.
Venez Voir, Venez Voir, Madlle. Rose, La Femme Colosse La Plus Êtonnante Du Monde Par La Suavité De Sa Voix, La Naiveté De Ses Traits, L'Epaisseur De Son im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 124.750,00 (€ 207.234,57).
