A top price for William Mosman - as previously expected
The work Portrait of Princess Maria Clementina Sobieska (1702-1735), wife of 'The Old Pretender', bust-length, in a gold dress and blue ermine-lined cloak, in a feigned oval by William Mosman was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,851.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of Princess Maria Clementina Sobieska (1702-1735), wife of 'The Old Pretender', bust-length, in a gold dress and blue ermine-lined cloak, in a feigned oval is the most expensive artwork by William Mosman that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Maria Clementina Sobieska (1702-1735), wife of 'The Old Pretender', bust-length, in a gold dress and blue ermine-lined cloak, in a feigned oval von William Mosman kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
