Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,595.61), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Mellor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grasmere Lake from Loughrigg, Westmoreland in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 16,560.59).
