Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A quiet moment by William McEvoy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 336.00 (€ 490.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William McEvoy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glengariff From The Kenmare Road, Evening in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,739.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A quiet moment von William McEvoy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 336,00 (€ 490,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William McEvoy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glengariff From The Kenmare Road, Evening im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.739,47).
