This artwork by William McCance achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2000. In the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction, the work Cubist style Still Life with Bottles sold for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,216.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Admittedly, works by William McCance have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman In A Deck Chair in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,939.64).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William McCance auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman In A Deck Chair im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.939,64).
