Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale- The Edward and Millicent Carew- Shaw bequest, to benefit Medical Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which included the work View of a Mediterranean village with bridges and a villager with his donkey by William Logsdail. The price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,885.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Logsdail achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gates Of The Khalifa, Cairo in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Sale- The Edward and Millicent Carew- Shaw bequest, to benefit Medical Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of a Mediterranean village with bridges and a villager with his donkey von William Logsdail zur Versteigerung kam.
