In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Bessie Burton by William Logsdail. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,075.98), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Logsdail achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gates Of The Khalifa, Cairo in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66).
