Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction The Arthur Ackermann and Peter Johnson Collection: A Connoisseur's Choice, which included the work The Col di Venda from Ventimeglia by William Logsdail. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,862.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Logsdail achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gates Of The Khalifa, Cairo in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66).
