Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Venetian Al Fresco by William Logsdail was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2004. It achieved a price of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 103,140.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Logsdail - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Gates Of The Khalifa, Cairo, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66).
