Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work A view out to sea by William Lionel Wyllie. The price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 996.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Lionel Wyllie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landing Fish, Ambleteuse in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 70,883.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view out to sea von William Lionel Wyllie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 996,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Lionel Wyllie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landing Fish, Ambleteuse im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 70.883,21).
