Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Temple Of Female Fortune With The Acqua Felice by William Linton was sold in the Old Masters auction at Sothebys in London in May 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,049.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Linton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A City Of Ancient Greece, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 26,226.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Temple Of Female Fortune With The Acqua Felice von William Linton wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.049,73) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von William Linton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A City Of Ancient Greece beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 26.226,57) versteigert wurde.
