Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Lees Judson could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Laguna Coast sight 11 1/2 x 17 in. framed 24 1/2 x 29 1/2 in. changed hands for USD 384.00 (€ 352.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Lees Judson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Where the Cliffs Meet the Sea in April this year with an auction result of USD 14,025.00 (€ 12,703.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Lees Judson konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Laguna Coast sight 11 1/2 x 17 in. framed 24 1/2 x 29 1/2 in. für USD 384,00 (€ 352,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Lees Judson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Where the Cliffs Meet the Sea im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.025,00 (€ 12.703,80).
