This artwork by William Keith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. In the California Art auction, the work El Capitan, Yosemite Valley sold for USD 11,520.00 (€ 10,628.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Keith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yosemite Valley in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 755,000.00 (€ 581,305.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Keith erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit El Capitan, Yosemite Valley für USD 11.520,00 (€ 10.628,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Keith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yosemite Valley im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 755.000,00 (€ 581.305,82).
