In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work Interior and offering by William Baillie. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,920.82), 47% above the upper estimate. With this result, Interior and offering is even the most expensive work of art by William Baillie that we have observed at auctions so far.
