Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Faraway thoughts by William Henry Midwood was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,376.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Midwood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Parting Of Burns And His Highland Mary in August 2008 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,631.30).
