Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures, which included the work Mountain Stream, North Wales by William Henry Mander. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Henry Mander have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Llyn Crafnant, Trefriw, Wales in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,485.62).

Im November 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British and Continental Pictures including Marine pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Stream, North Wales von William Henry Mander zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.782,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Henry Mander auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Llyn Crafnant, Trefriw, Wales im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.875,00 (€ 9.485,62).
