Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Henry Mander could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS auction, the work In The Llugwy Valley, Above Bettws-Y-Coed changed hands for GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,297.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Henry Mander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Llyn Crafnant, Trefriw, Wales, which sold at auction in September 2001 for GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,485.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Henry Mander konnte im November 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PORTRAITS, BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS wechselte die Arbeit In The Llugwy Valley, Above Bettws-Y-Coed für GBP 2.987,50 (€ 4.297,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Henry Mander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Llyn Crafnant, Trefriw, Wales beobachtet, die im September 2001 für GBP 5.875,00 (€ 9.485,62) versteigert wurde.
