Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, INCLUDING SCOTTISH PICTURES, which included the work Boys fishing on the Lledr by William Henry Mander. The price achieved of GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,550.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Henry Mander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Llyn Crafnant, Trefriw, Wales, which sold at auction in September 2001 for GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,485.62).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.550,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden.
