Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work The Horse Fair; Horse Traders Outside An Inn, A Pair Both 23 X 30.5Cm (9 X 12In). (2) by William Henry M. Turner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 765.00 (€ 897.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Henry M. Turner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At The Horse Fair in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,820.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Horse Fair; Horse Traders Outside An Inn, A Pair Both 23 X 30.5Cm (9 X 12In). (2) von William Henry M. Turner zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 897,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Henry M. Turner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At The Horse Fair im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.820,04).
