Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Hall At Heathersbrook Yard 'Niva' by William Henriksen for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,872.90). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Henriksen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Danish interiør (Interior), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,600.58).
