Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Henriksen could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny auction, the work A Sunlit Garden Room changed hands for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,633.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Henriksen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Danish interiør (Interior), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,600.58).
