Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Sharon Tate Pillows by William Helburn for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,042.58). This price was achieved in the auction Classic Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Helburn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Canoe, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,917.94).
