Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Hanna Clarke could be acquired at Sothebys in London in August 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scottish and Sporting Pictures auction, the work Summer In Galloway changed hands for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,321.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Hanna Clarke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Goose Girl in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 17,925.00 (€ 26,181.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Hanna Clarke konnte im August 2007 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Scottish and Sporting Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Summer In Galloway für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.321,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Hanna Clarke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Goose Girl im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.925,00 (€ 26.181,09).
