Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still life with red and white roses by William Hammer was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 3,000.00 (€ 402.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Hammer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Fruits On A Stone Ledge in April 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 9,681.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still life with red and white roses von William Hammer im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 3.000,00 (€ 402,46) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Hammer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Fruits On A Stone Ledge im April 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 9.681,01).
