In November 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Three Businessmen by William Hadd McElcheran. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 30,000.00 (€ 21,862.78), 36% above the upper estimate. With this result, Three Businessmen is even the most expensive work of art by William Hadd McElcheran that we have observed at auctions so far.
