A top price for William H. Parkinson - as previously expected
In November 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work In The School Room by William H. Parkinson. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,281.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, In The School Room is the most expensive artwork by William H. Parkinson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In The School Room von William H. Parkinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.281,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist In The School Room das teuerste Kunstwerk von William H. Parkinson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
