Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,244.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Gouw Ferguson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Falconry Still Life With A Dead Partridge, Songbirds, And Hunting Attributes Hanging On A Rope, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 29,550.00.
