Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nature Morte Au Bouquet Rouge by William Goodridge Roberts was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of CAD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for CAD 13,200.00 (€ 10,216.05). Other works by William Goodridge Roberts have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2012 by the work Yellow Table And Flowers at CAD 18,000.00 (€ 13,930.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nature Morte Au Bouquet Rouge von William Goodridge Roberts im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für CAD 13.200,00 (€ 10.216,05) den Besitzer.
